Help with childcare cost?

How Many Funded Hours Can My Child Have? Funded Hours increases to 30 hours per week from  September 2017

Your child is entitled to a maximum of 15 hours per week for 38 weeks of the year. To be included in the headcount allocation your child needs to be registered with us on headcount day which falls within the first two or three weeks of term. This will increase to 30 hours from September 2017 for 3 and 4 years old. To qualify, parents must be in work, and each earning at least £115 a week (on average) and not more than £100,000 each per year.

How do I Get Free Nursery Education?

Each term we claim on your behalf for the number of sessions your child will be attending and your fees will be reduced to reflect the number of free hours you wish your child to receive.

You may also be entitled to the Working Families Tax Credit to help you with the cost of childcare fees not covered by the Early Years Education Funding.

The Two Year Olds Entitlement

Is criteria based and you will receive a code from the local authority which you can bring to our nursery to claim for the 15 hours. If you are entitled to receive one or more of the following then your child will be eligible for a free place.

• Income Support
• Income Based Jobseekers Allowance
• An income-related employment and support allowance
• Support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
• The Guarantee element of State Pension Credit
• Child Tax Credit, provided you are not entitled to Working Tax Credit

The maximum number of hours during the year is 570 hours (38 weeks x 15 hours).

In addition to the above, you will also be eligible if any of the following apply to your child:

• They’re looked after by a local council
• They have a current statement of special education needs (SEND) or an education, health and care (EHC) plan
• They get Disability Living Allowance
• They have left care under a special guardianship order, child arrangements order or adoption order

If a child meets this criteria, please apply directly to your local authority.

Company voucher scheme/ Tax-Free Childcare

Company Childcare Voucher Schemes are a government initiative that allows working parents like you to save on your childcare costs. The vouchers are
taken from your salary before your usual Tax and NI contributions are deducted so the vouchers could save you up to £933.
We are registered with several Corporate Childcare Voucher companies. Please speak to the Nursery Manager for further details.

Parents will be able to open a new childcare account. For every £8 a parent pays into their childcare account, the government will pay in an extra £2. Parents can get up to £2,000 government support per child per year towards their childcare costs. They can then use this money to pay their childcare provider.
